2016 · Founded in HoustonKA begins acquiring, renovating and managing single-family homes.

2018 · First ground-up homesKA moves from renovation to new construction, starting with Englewood Bell Plaza and the Bigwood Project.

2019 · KA Realty HTX launchesKA adds an in-house brokerage, KA Realty HTX, to represent buyers and sellers.

Houston is home. Based in southwest Houston, we work across the city, from neighborhoods inside the Loop to the suburbs and surrounding Texas communities.

Working here has helped us build relationships with local trades, understand the permitting process, and get to know what homeowners, buyers and tenants need. Being close to our projects lets us stay involved, visit our sites regularly and respond quickly when something needs our attention.

Joseph Khuat

President

Originally from Oakland, Joseph brings more than 15 years of real estate experience and founded KA Housing & Development in 2016. As President, he sets the company’s strategy and oversees every line of the business: ground-up single-family construction, multifamily value-add, fix & flip renovation, land acquisition and third-party property management.

Luis Delacruz

Vice President

A Houston native, Luis brings a lifelong knowledge of the city and its neighborhoods, from close-in blocks to the growing communities around Greater Houston. That local perspective shapes how KA finds opportunities and plans projects that fit the areas they’re in.

Jan Au

Director of Operations

Raised in Palacios, a small town on the Texas Gulf Coast, Jan brings a detail-oriented, people-first approach to KA Housing & Development. As Director of Operations, she keeps the company running smoothly behind the scenes.

Gunther Nguyen

Acquisitions Manager

A Houston native, Gunther leads off-market acquisitions for KA Housing & Development. He finds opportunities before they ever reach the open market, building direct relationships with property owners, landowners, brokers and wholesalers across Greater Houston.
