Leadership
Joseph Khuat
Originally from Oakland, Joseph brings more than 15 years of real estate experience and founded KA Housing & Development in 2016. As President, he sets the company’s strategy and oversees every line of the business: ground-up single-family construction, multifamily value-add, fix & flip renovation, land acquisition and third-party property management.
Under his leadership, KA has delivered new single-family homes at Englewood Bell Plaza, Bigwood and Plaza Estates @ Gregg, renovated and stabilized more than 80 apartment units across Greater Houston and surrounding Texas markets, and completed more than 20 single-family renovations. Joseph works directly with investors, lenders and landowners, and stays involved in each project from acquisition through completion.
Luis Delacruz
A Houston native, Luis brings a lifelong knowledge of the city and its neighborhoods, from close-in blocks to the growing communities around Greater Houston. That local perspective shapes how KA finds opportunities and plans projects that fit the areas they’re in.
As Vice President, Luis works alongside Joseph on the company’s direction and day-to-day execution. He helps evaluate new acquisitions, oversees work in the field and coordinates with contractors, vendors and partners to keep development and renovation projects moving on schedule and on budget.
Jan Au
Raised in Palacios, a small town on the Texas Gulf Coast, Jan brings a detail-oriented, people-first approach to KA Housing & Development. As Director of Operations, she keeps the company running smoothly behind the scenes.
Jan manages the schedules, vendors, contracts, paperwork and systems that support every project, and coordinates operations across the residential and commercial properties KA manages. Her work connects the acquisitions, construction and property management sides of the business, so owners, tenants and partners get timely answers and consistent service.
Gunther Nguyen
A Houston native, Gunther leads off-market acquisitions for KA Housing & Development. He finds opportunities before they ever reach the open market, building direct relationships with property owners, landowners, brokers and wholesalers across Greater Houston.
Gunther evaluates land, lots, multifamily properties and single-family homes for new development, value-add and fix & flip, and reviews every property submitted through our Acquisitions page. His local knowledge and straightforward approach mean sellers get a clear, fair answer quickly, and KA keeps a steady pipeline of well-priced projects.
