Warranty Service for KA Homeowners

If you bought a new home built by KA Housing & Development, submit your warranty request here. Our team reviews every request and works with you to schedule any covered repairs.

Coverage

Our 1-2-10 Limited Warranty

Every new KA home comes with a 1-2-10 limited warranty. Coverage periods begin at closing.

1 year

Workmanship and materials, including items such as drywall, paint, trim, flooring, cabinets, doors and windows.

2 years

Major systems: the delivery portions of the plumbing, electrical, and heating and air conditioning systems.

10 years

Major structural components, such as the foundation, load-bearing walls, beams and roof framing.

This is a summary. The limited warranty documents you received at closing set out the full coverage, exclusions and performance standards, and they control if anything here differs.

What to Know

Non-emergency items

Keep a running list and send non-urgent items together. Many builders ask for one list about 60 days after closing and another near the end of the first year, which lets us schedule each trade once.

Homeowner maintenance

Routine upkeep is the homeowner's responsibility and is not a warranty item. This includes changing air filters, caulking, landscaping and drainage upkeep, and normal wear. Appliances are usually covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

What to include

Your property address and closing date, a clear description of each item and where it is in the home, and photos or video. Requests need to be received within the warranty period for that item.

Emergencies

Emergency Service

An emergency is a condition that makes the home unsafe or will cause serious damage if it waits: a total loss of electricity, water, heat in freezing weather or air conditioning in extreme heat, an uncontrollable plumbing leak, a sewer backup affecting the whole home, or a gas leak.

If there is immediate danger, call 911. For a gas smell, leave the home and call your gas utility. For a water leak, shut off the water at the main valve. For an electrical hazard, switch off the main breaker. Then call our office at 832-773-4193 and submit the form below.

Submit a Warranty Request

Use one form per home. List each item separately in the description so we can route it to the right trade.

After you send the form, email your photos to info@kahousing.com with your property address in the subject line.
